What’s Your Bedding Style?

I’ve been shopping around for some new bedding in our master bedroom.  We currently have blue Pottery Barn quilted bedding that I love; but we’ve had it long enough and it’s time for a change.  There are decisions to be made… Do I switch it up and go with a pattern this time (I think I probably will).  Duvet vs. quilt?  Color scheme? 
You see the choices I have ahead of me.  While I really love the look of duvets best, I think I’ll probably have to go with a quilt again because for me they are just easier to maintain.

So, I’m curious.  What’s your bedding style?  Do you keep things simple or love patterns and color galore?   Do you accessorize your bed with pillows and throws or like it bare?  Do you love patterned or all white sheets?  Lay it on me, so to speak.

    Duvet, always. And love pattern! I currently have a gray and white cover from West Elm. Like the look of pillows..but don’t love the removing of them night after night. 🙂

    Beautiful images! We currently have all white bedding…white duvet, white sheets, and tons of pillows. However, having a baby and a dog have made me begin to re-think all white. It just isn’t practical for us anymore. Soooo…ugh…I have no idea what we will do! 🙂

    I am a sucker for all white bedding. Love the crispness and fluffiness {word?} of an all white duvet. Then I throw in major pops of color and texture with throw pillows. So much cheaper to switch up as well!

    I agree with Courtney! I love white bedding, and adding fun pillows is the perfect way to spice it up. I have a quilt at home for bedding, but a duvet cover here with me at school and I MUCH prefer the duvet! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

    I find this hard too but I think in the end I like white bedding the best so I can then punch it up with splashy pillows- I don’t like being too limited by busy bedding. I’ve tried other things but in the end, I always go back to white. Lately, I am in love with fur (faux) throws at the foot of the bed and like a great textile on at bench/settee at the foot.

    For sheets, I am switching it up. 10 years ago I had small pattern sheets, then switched to plain sheets. Returning to small print sheets a la Anthropologie “Tesserae Sheet Set”, paired with white duvet.

    I have slate blue walls, and recently updated from all white bedding to a printed duvet. I love it! And if I get tired of it I can just strip if off and go back to all white. I don’t care for too many pillows, but love an extra quilt.

    I agree with Danielle above. I love the look of quilts but I love the duvet (simple color) to cuddle up in. I use both.

    White, white and white. I love the clean and fresh feeling. I add a bunch of fun pillows on top of my white ones so that makes it pop some color.

    how funny, im in the same dillemma! I love our bedspread but I think I’d like a plain white duvet for a little bit. And I want a fur throw. It makes me warm and fuzzy just thinking about it 🙂 xoxo
