You may have noticed that there was a brief break in the Favorites Series over the holidays. Well today we’re kicking it off again with our first 2011 guest, Michaela of Michaela Noelle Designs Blog. I thought it might be fun to shake things up and get a peak into a design student’s home. If you follow Michaela’s design inspirations on her blog then you probably have fallen for her too. Enjoy some of her favorites…
Hello to all the ever-stylish and always fabulous readers of Look Linger Love. I’m so excited Chassity asked me to be a part of this series (: She definitely has the go-to blog for fashion inspiration and all things glam! I’m Michaela, the author of Michaela Noelle Designs blog.
I’d love for you to stop by!
Today I’m sharing some of the things in my home (both my apartment at school and the home I grew up in) that I love.
ONE:
My grandma sewed these curtains for me after I designed them. A classic black and white print with an 18 inch strip at the bottom and topped off with some cute beads = perfect (:
TWO:
I adore the home I grew up in, back in California. In the living room we have this 100 year old baby grand show-stopping piano. Although I don’t play, it’s still my favorite piece in our house.
THREE:
I’ve always loved art, and senior year of high school we had to paint a replica of a famous painting, while changing 3 elements of the original. I chose Monet’s bridge and changed the hues, texture and lighting. When I finished it, my mom had it framed for me as a surprise and it now sits in our entry way!
FOUR:
If you follow my blog, you know I just got a fun pair of cowgirl boots for Christmas! I wear them every.single.day. {kinda (: } I also just got this black lace dress from Nordstrom and adore it. Whippy Cake headbands are my go-to headbands to spice any outfit up!
FIVE:
I also just completed my new gallery wall and am loving the results (:
Thanks for having me, girlfriend! I’ve loved thinking about my favorite pieces in my home and wardrobe!
xoxo,
Michaela
Thanks so much to Michaela for sharing some of her favorites from both of her homes. I especially love the peek inside her closet. Who doesn’t love a snazzy pair of cowboy boots?! If you haven’t checked out her blog yet, be sure to take a look and follow along as she navigates through design school.
