Oh man I’m still a tizzy over the awesomeness that was Hampden Clothing’s 5 year anniversary extravaganza. To celebrate the achievement Hampden’s owner, Stacy Smallwood, invited Rag & Bone’s designing duo David Neville and Marcus Wainwright to Charleston for a little 2 day part-ay!
Why Rag & Bone? Because Stacy’s been carrying them since the beginning of Hampden’s days. And they are her most popular brand among her loyal shoppers. I’m not surprised. So it was a real treat to have them in town for a few days. And following a private shopping day with the designers, Stacy threw a beachside bbq at her family home on the Isle of Palms with Marcus and David as the guests of honor. Every detail was considered from the Firefly vodka (a local favorite) to the live music down to the parting gift bags.
You know, just hanging with David Neville…
Trust me, the party was so good that nobody wanted to leave. But there was an important show to put on the next morning. The re-staging of Rag & Bone’s Spring 2012 runway show. At
Westbrook Brewery no less. Very cool location. And I arrived early to snap some behind the scenes shots for you all.
And I had to get some street styles for ya’ll. Because the Charleston ladies brought it!
Gorgeous, right? And then there was the show.
It was incredible. And it was followed by shopping (the entire spring collection) with the designers. I scored some gorgeous
mustard zipper capri jeans. Loves. (
Hampden still has some Rag & Bone jeans in store, but not the mustard, all sold out folks).
Like I said, it was an incredible celebration and I’m so fortunate to have been a part of it. Congratulations on 5 successful years of outfitting Charleston’s (and beyond) hippest ladies, Stacy. What a moment you’re having! Enjoy every second of it! xoxo
