The Weekly Rounds

Let’s get to it!

What I’m Wearing:

Wearing: long block print dress xs, woven sandals

– I wore these shorts to the bookstore with Lilly today so she could stock up on some summer reads, and I got so many questions about them. They’re so great I love the way they flare.

– I am THRILLED about my new bronzing cream powder from Westman Atelier. I already loved their drops, but the new compact is so amazing b/c 1) it’s less wet looking which is best for me in warmer months bc I get so dewy and 2) it compact comes with a light shade and a dark shade, which helps give a more authentic looking glow like you have an actual tan.

– I’ve been kinda living in these sweatpants. I just finally added them to the dirty laundry pile (laundry day is tmrw so I won’t have to wait long). I wear the xs.

– I know we don’t talk about underwire bras all that often around here BUT sometimes you need them, and I really have lately for a few things. I have this one and it’s great and does not add bulk!

– This blockprint dress is a lovely “throw on in the morning and look put together but still comfortable around the house dress”.

What I’m Eyeing & Buying:

Wearing: yellow drawstring pants xs, crochet flats, stripe top

– Boden has some REALLY cute new arrivals, I have my eye on this dress!! It doesn’t feel like Boden. And I don’t mean that in a bad way b/c obvs I’m a big fan.

– This beauty feels just like a pink sand summer kind of dress.

– How cute is this aqua blue top and shorts set?! The top with white pants would be phenomenal.

– I cannot stop thinking about this little curved hem cardigan. She is just the cutest.

– Spanx has entered the chat with a tie waist air essentials dress!!!!

What I’m Watching/Reading/Listening To:

Wearing: stylest dreamsculpt swimsuit xs (but i wish i had the s bc it does suck you in soooo much), navy swim sarong (lots of colors!)

I’m caught up on Margot’s Got Money Problems and this latest episode was the best of the season! Are you watching? I love Elle Fanning.

Along with the Puerto Rico song, I’m excited to dive into Nan Philip ‘s new podcast Noteworthy With Nan this week. I’ve followed Nan for years, she has a great perspective and an eye for quality. I just know her podcast will be one of my weeklies.

I’m so happy reading Carley Fortune’s new book Our Perfect Storm. She’s truly one of my most favorite ever authors!

This Week’s Highlight:

I’m Wearing: pink mini dress 2

Lilly’s Wearing: floral tank, floral skirt

I know we’ve already discussed but how on earth could i choose anything else for this week’s highlight. Obviously the pub day for Pink Sand Summer and the launch party that night at Ladybird was the highlight of my week. It was incredible to have my kids there for this big event, as well. They don’t often see me in this kind of environment addressing a room. I was a little nervous, but the happiness made up for it. Thank you again for all the love and support!

– “What is the white tee that you swear by again?” ~ Ahhhh this one. I have so many of it. And in other colors too. It’s the best. I wear the size xs.

– “Will you be doing a Father’s Day gift guide?” ~ Perfect world yes, if I find enough. Guys are so hard to buy for. I usually go the practical route. I will say I just got Josh two more of these shirts.
