What I’m Wearing:
Wearing: white linen top xs, turquoise necklace, polka dot pants xs
– I wore this striped shirt with lace detail to a book signing on Friday and got I bet 4 compliments on it? It’s super cute!
– I wore this Free People dress to the EV Salon event last week. It’s a great little summer dress and I really like the print. I think it runs a smidge large.
– I’ve been wearing these new sneakers for my workouts and I am so impressed. APL jsut continues to make my favorite sneakers. These are extra light weight and designed for a fast slip on.
– I wore this long shirtdress to lunch downtown with the family yesterday. It’s so soft and flowy it feels like pajamas!

– I just got this new Hill House dress and golly she is cute. I love the print and the shape is just so flattering.
– This red gingham dress from Tuckernuck is on it’s way to me. I have it in the navy gingham too and can attest it’s one of the greatest summer styles to have in your closet.
– I am SO excited about my new tshirt wrap dress from Modern Citizen. I’ve been seeing the various versions of them and they’re so gorg. I got the short blue!
– I ordered some new summer sandals from Margaux they have a low heel and are the most gorgeous shade of caramel!
What I’m Reading/Watching/Listening To:
– Okay I am watching and LOVING Margo’s Got Money Troubles. I really wish I would have read the book. Also Elle Fanning is so so so great.
– I’m reading Into The Blue, have we talked about this b/c I can’t remember. It’s a big book and it’s taking me a bit to get through it but I’m really liking it. At one point it started to slow down for me but then I pushed through and I’m so glad that I did!!
– I was so excited to hear my friend Claire from Skin Clique on Popapologists last week. It was such a great honest chat about skincare and procedures, what’s worth it and what’s not. Highly recommend giving it a listen. Claire is a go-to girl for me. She lives here in Charleston and I’ve known her for years and I’m always texting her questions.

– “I need some cute skirts to wear that are flattering and won’t add more fabric and volume to my waist (the last thing I need) if you have any ideas?” ~ YES I do. I think that wrap skirts are the most flattering silhouette and they lay nice and flat against the waist. I love this new one and also this one!!
– “I need a good tote and would appreciate any ideas you have?” ~ Okay this one is a total stunner. And this one is my favorite travel tote!
This Week’s Highlight:
I was gobsmacked to see Pink Sand Summer included in Southern Living’s 10 books everyone will be talking about this summer. I’ve loved Southern Living for so long, and to see my debut novel included in this round up nearly brought me to tears.
And I sure hope they’re right…. I’m a week out from pub day and you could say that the nerves are really starting to get real. What if no one reads my book. What if no one likes my book. Ahhh. Trying to stay positive.
